Abstract

Cancer immunotherapy has emerged as a promising treatment modality for various malignancies, offering hope to patients who do not respond to traditional therapies. However, not all patients benefit from immunotherapy, and predicting which patients will respond remains a major challenge. Genomic biomarkers, which are specific genetic alterations associated with immune response, have shown great potential in predicting the efficacy of immunotherapy. This article discusses the role of genomic biomarkers in cancer immunotherapy, with a focus on genetic alterations, immune cell profiling, and tumor mutational burden. The article also highlights the current clinical applications of these biomarkers and their future directions in precision medicine.
