Abstract

Emerging viral pathogens pose a significant threat to global health due to their ability to evade host immune responses. The immune evasion strategies employed by these viruses are a crucial aspect of their pathogenesis and determine the course of infection. This article explores the mechanisms by which emerging viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, Ebola virus, Zika virus, and Influenza A evade the host immune system. These pathogens utilize a variety of strategies, including modulation of innate immune signaling, interference with antigen presentation, and the suppression of adaptive immune responses. Understanding these mechanisms is critical for the development of effective vaccines and antiviral therapies. This article discusses the current research on immune evasion mechanisms in emerging viral pathogens and highlights key viral proteins and host interactions that could be targeted for therapeutic intervention.
