Abstract

The increasing incidence of respiratory infections, particularly caused by viruses like influenza, SARS-CoV-2, and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), has driven the development of novel monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) as targeted therapeutics. Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) have emerged as a promising approach due to their ability to specifically bind to viral antigens, neutralize pathogens, and modulate immune responses. This article explores the role of novel monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of respiratory infections, focusing on their mechanism of action, clinical efficacy, and future potential. Special emphasis is placed on the development of mAbs for COVID-19, RSV, and influenza. The article also discusses the regulatory landscape, challenges, and future directions for monoclonal antibody-based therapies in respiratory infections.
