B cells are an integral part of the immune system, responsible for producing antibodies essential in defending against pathogens. However, in autoimmune disorders, B cells play a detrimental role by producing autoantibodies that attack the body’s own tissues. This article explores the multifaceted role of B cells in autoimmune diseases, focusing on their activation, differentiation, and involvement in pathogenesis. We also examine the therapeutic targeting of B cells as a potential treatment approach for autoimmune diseases. This review provides an understanding of the intricate mechanisms of B cell involvement in autoimmune conditions, offering insights for future research and clinical interventions
