Abstract

Nanomedicine, leveraging nanotechnology for medical applications, has emerged as a revolutionary approach for improving drug delivery systems. Targeted drug delivery via nanomedicines offers enhanced therapeutic effects with reduced side effects, making it particularly beneficial in treating complex diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and infections. This article explores the various nanomedicine strategies employed for targeted drug delivery, including the use of nanoparticles, liposomes, dendrimers, and micelles. It discusses the principles behind their design, the challenges of achieving effective targeting, and their applications in precision medicine. Furthermore, the article examines the ongoing research and advancements, highlighting the potential of nanomedicines to transform drug delivery paradigms.
